OUR FIRST STEPS STATEMENT: COVID-19
We have taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend all swimming lessons in light of the governments advice to avoid all non-essential contact and travel. As you can imagine, this is truly heart breaking and we have not made this decision lightly. I have built my life and livelihood around my love of the swimming and working with babies, but I recognise our wider responsibility to our swimmers, parents, carers, teachers, leisure staff and our role in safeguarding the nation as a whole.
I will take this time away from the pool to continue to develop our lessons, complete online CPD’s and plan for the future so we are ready to pick up where we left off, when it is safe to do so.
I will of course remain contactable should you need any advice but please try to stay calm, happy and safe during this period of uncertainty; nothing should come before your health and happiness.
I am also going to be offering some online services:
- Online Baby Massage Classes
- Mummy & Baby Yoga Classes
- Pregnancy Yoga Classes
- Hypnobirthing Sessions
To help clear up any questions regarding payments, subscriptions and this month’s lessons we have created specific FAQs. Please can we ask all customers to read these and to get in touch if they have any questions.
I want to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you for being a loyal customer and making Our First Steps what it is today. The support and kindness I have received already has been overwhelming, thank you to those who have sent lovely messages, offered to keep subscriptions running and shared our social media updates.
I can’t wait for the day we are able to welcome you back to the pool.
Are swimming lessons still taking place?
Not for the time being. We are adhering to the Government guidance concerning non-essential social contact and travel. We will therefore be suspending lessons until we are safe to start again.
What will happen to my monthly subscription?
As lessons are temporarily suspended, we will be freezing accounts and reducing subscriptions to just £5 per month. This will allow us to guarantee your place upon return, hold your remaining lessons on account and also safeguard our family business. Everything will be held in place waiting your return including the 2 lesson credits for March. We will of course give you notice when we are reopening and able to deliver our lessons again.
What if I want to join in with any of the above online services?
If you would like to keep your subscription running and join me for any of our live online classes mentioned above, please get in touch with your preferred course so I can organise times/days of our sessions.
I have more questions. How do I get in touch?
If there’s anything we can do, or you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Becky via mobile: 07581062278; email: [email protected] or our social media accounts on Facebook or Instagram.
