Before we continue with the benefits of KGHypnobirthing, we wanted to clarify a few things. Many people think that KGHypnobirthing is some sort of heavy hypnosis where you lose consciousness during birth. KGHypnobirthing is not that and at no point will you be unconscious, don’t worry.
KGHypnobirthingis a combination of a lot of breathing, calming and light self-hypnosis techniques such as visualisation and meditation, that help you remain positive, relaxed and peaceful during the birth. This self-induced relaxed state will keep you aware of what’s going on around you whilst, most importantly, helping you tune in to your body and your baby’s needs to help you deliver safely, naturally and with less pain.
Just think of it as meditative labour where you use techniques to release your fear, work through contractions and keep yourself focused on the extraordinary beauty of the experience of giving birth to a new life.

KGHypnobirthing aims to make the pregnancy and the birthing experience a beautiful and joyfultime during which the mummy-to-be is more confident, comfortable and relaxed. We help you learn techniques to relax, release your fears and embrace your body’s natural intuitive way of giving birth.
Thetechniques which you learn during a KGHypnobirthing course teach you to put yourself in a state of deep relaxation. This allows your body to calm down, it lowers the production of stress hormones and it relaxes your muscles. This in its turn lets your body work like it was meant to during child birth.
KGHypnobirthing can, in a lot of cases, make your labour shorter. When your body is under stress, it has a natural response – to release stress hormones, like adrenaline. This, of course, is helpful and appropriate if you are hurt or in a fight or flight situation, but during child birth they only hinder your natural abilities to deal with childbirth easier.
When your body releases these hormones, they slow down digestion, speed up your heartbeat, force your blood to your limbs as your body assumes you may need to run from danger. This means that your blood is diverted from your uterus which hinders the labour process. Fear also causes the body to tense up which also slow down the birth. This just becomes a vicious cycle of pain, fear and then even more pain and prolonged labour. KGHypnobirthing helps you break that cycle through positive visualisation, meditation and deep relaxation.
Less Drugs and Medical Intervention
The self-induced relaxed state of mind can be of great help during labour not just because it can shorten it, but also because it can help you trigger your body’s natural pain management abilities.
